Mariner 9
Tyneside Cinema and North Tyneside Council presented the world premiere of Mariner 9 by Kelly Richardson - a giant video art installation inside Whitley Bay’s historic Spanish City Dome.

Mariner 9 was shown in parallel with Kelly Richardson's solo survey show LEGION at the NGCA in Sunderland. It represented the most substantive exhibition of her work to date in the UK, spanning 15 years of her practice.
Northern Stars produced a short documentary on the making of, installation and exhibition of Mariner 9. The film captures the reflections of the artist, Kelly Richardson in the lead up to the exhibition opening at the historic Spanish City Dome in Whitley Bay.
