At Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Tickets £5 each (1 teacher free with 10 student bookings)

Digital artist Mark Jobe worked with Kelly Richardson to create the spectacular Mariner 9. At this talk, Mark will offer exclusive insights into the behind-the-scenes production of the instalation, exploring the workflow from early concept images and animated test sequences through to the final artwork. Students will gain understanding of the creative practice involved in making this ambitious piece, exploring the new media technologies utilised and engaging critically and contextually with the work.

We also encourage schools to visit Mariner 9 at the Laing Art Gallery after the talk. A member of the Laing Art Gallery team will be available from 11:00-12:00 to meet your group and answer any questions.
