Tyneside Cinema's Artists in Residence programme offers established and emerging artists the opportunity to develop new work within a peer supported environment that engages with the working cinema and its surroundings. An integral part of the Artists in Residency programme is an active engagement with The Factory, our group of young artists aged between 14-19 years, who work collaboratively on as seasonal basis to create new work in dialogue with professional artists.
Between 2010 and 2013, our Artists in Residence included Katie Goodwin, Simon Farid, Max Hattler, G H Hovagimyan, Simon Katan, Alan Kwan, Rachel Lancaster, Lucy Pawlak and Kelly Richardson. To find out about Artists in Residence from 2013 onwards, visit the main Tyneside Cinema site here.
Welcome to the website for Pixel Palace, Tyneside Cinema’s digital art programme, which ran from 2008-2014. Here you can explore our archive of exciting art commissions and exhibitions, as well as the artists we worked with over that time.
