Simon Farid is a UK based artist interested in identity. His work playfully challenges the nature of structures that define our administrative and social identities.
During the residency, Simon took the Tyneside Cinema as a setting to explore how social interactions are informed and inspired by cinematic narratives and popular culture to create a new set of ‘how to’ instructions for dealing with social situations.
Welcome to the website for Pixel Palace, Tyneside Cinema’s digital art programme, which ran from 2008-2014. Here you can explore our archive of exciting art commissions and exhibitions, as well as the artists we worked with over that time.
