About the Artist

Simon is an artist interested in the relationship power relations and politics have to performativity and social interactions. He looks to develop playful, politically provocative and challenging ways to play with the power structures that enforce/bind administrative and social identities, taking on the role of a hacker or trickster in an attempt to negotiate new ways to look at and understand the individual in relation to institutions and centres of power.

He has exhibited work nationally and internationally at events and venues such as Atelier 35 in Bucharest, BE Festival in Birmingham, Rhyl Museum and Arts Centre and OCCUPY MY TIME gallery in Deptford.

He has also delivered performative lectures at venues such as Airspace Gallery and Reading University, the latter as part of the ‘Journeys Across Media - Time Tells: Temporal Excavations in Film, Theatre and Television’ Academic conference.
