New York

In November 2011, the four Factory Mentors went on a research trip to New York to interview several digital artists, curators and educators to talk about their work and discuss how their practices compared to The Factory programme. The aim was to gather information and inspiration from the artists, broaden their knowledge of digital art and improve the way the Factory is run as a result. They met New Media artists such as Marina Zurkow, Jeff Crouse and GH Hovagimyan and visited galleries and art organizations such as Eyebeam, MoMA, Rhizome and The American Museum of Moving Image which helped them, draw some interesting parallels between their digital art programmes and the Factory.

We talk to Zoë Salditch of Rhizome and artist Jeff Crouse.

We talk to the artist Marina Zurkow.

We visit MoMA and talk to Barbara London!
