Pixel Palace Programme 2011-2015

We have taken inspiration for the next few years of Pixel Palace from Jean Luc Godard’s classic 1965 film “Alphaville”.

“There is a confusion of reality and illusion in the modern world… As Godard predicted, life is indeed shaped by computers. In Alphaville, in our world today, the cinema is everywhere, in the flick of a cigarette lighter, in the glow of a light bulb… it is in the way we perceive our world, in the way we speak, in the way we dream. We have no need of entering a movie theatre to experience cinema; life itself is just like a movie”

 (K.Brougher, 2008)

Over the coming months Pixel Palace will be offering exciting new opportunities and experiences for artists and audiences in the form of online and offline commissions, artists residencies, events, exhibitions, drop-in centres for young people and hardcore techno-heads, parties, an online radio station and the odd guided tour.

Please keep watching this space and keep in touch with us via email, twitter and our Pixel Palace facebook group to find out what is coming up next.
